Powering Together – April 2025

What an energising month at The Energy Charter! Here’s what we’ve been up to:

  •  Our 2025 CEO Council brought together 30+ energy leaders in Sydney to explore how collective leadership drives meaningful impact. As Rosemary Sinclair AM reminded us, collaboration isn’t just a value—it’s a strategy for real change! #BetterTogether

  • Exciting progress on the Developer Rating Scheme with Minister Chris Bowen’s announcement. Our Lived Experience Panel of regional landholders delivered clear recommendations to build trust and transparency between communities and developers.

  • We’ve refreshed our 2025 Disclosure Guidance with greater flexibility based on direct feedback from our End User Consultative Group. Plus, we’ve launched the new Accountability Exchange network to support Signatories!

  •  Join our First Nations Community of Practice on 11 April for a deep dive into the groundbreaking Federal Government’s First Nations Clean Energy Strategy with James Riley from DCCEEW.

  •  Agricultural and energy sectors are strengthening their partnership. At last week’s Ag + Energy Roundtable, our Signatories showcased progress and identified 20 priority actions for the next 18 months.

  • Our 2025 Blood Drive is making real impact.  Together we’ve collected 406 donations—potentially saving 1,218 lives. There’s still time to roll up your sleeves before 30 April.

  •  We’re launching three game-changing #BetterTogether initiatives:
    • Smart Meter Insights Sharing Forum (7 April)
    • Regional Energy Collaboration Framework (10 April)
    • Balancing Biodiversity Alliance (16 April)
