Chief Executive Officer

Sabiene is a transformational leader focused on putting humans at the heart of the energy transition. With senior experience spanning energy, telecommunications, media and law, she brings sharp strategic insight and a deep commitment to sector-wide change. Before joining The Energy Charter, Sabiene worked in the CEO Office at Energy Consumers Australia, championing innovative, human-centred solutions.

She is passionate about convening unlikely partners, accelerating collaboration and driving accountability that delivers real impact.

Bec Jolly

Director, Energy Equity

Bec is a systems thinker and community development practitioner with more than 15 years’ experience helping sectors and communities work better together.

Her work focuses on ensuring no one is left behind in the energy transition — particularly customers experiencing vulnerability. With experience across government, not-for-profit and private sectors, Bec specialises in turning complex challenges into practical, people-centred solutions.

Bec’s superpower: Rapid situational insight combined with a natural ability to rally people around shared goals.

Anne Whitehouse

Customer Codes Administrator + Collaboration Manager

Anne brings more than 25 years’ experience across the energy and marketing sectors, with a strong focus on fairness, transparency and customer protection.

As Code Administrator for four national Customer Codes, Anne plays a critical role in strengthening accountability and trust in retail energy services. Anne is known for translating complex regulatory frameworks into practical action that works in the real world.

Anne’s superpower: Making complex Customer Codes clear, practical and implementable.

Sarah Whitehouse

Communications and Community Manager

Sarah is a communications specialist with a passion for clear, accessible storytelling that puts customers and communities first.

With experience across financial services, regulation and standards, she brings strong end-to-end campaign delivery and stakeholder engagement capability.
