Our Signatories fall into three categories: Full Signatories, #BetterTogether Collaborators and Supporters, all committing to the 5 Principles of The Energy Charter.
Full Signatories
- Shape and lead CEO-led priorities for our #BetterTogether initiatives to leverage high impact areas for meaningful change
- Encouraged to publicly disclose, on an annual basis, how they are delivering against the Five Principles through our Accountability Process
- Receive guidance both individually and collectively on where they can do better for customers + communities
- Participate in our CEO Council and Industry Working Groups

Supporters
Organisations that support our activities to deliver better outcomes for customers + communities such as customer and community organisations, regulatory bodies, government agencies, suppliers, consultants and industry organisations.
Strategic Partners
In 2025, we joined Equal by 30, a campaign under the Equality in Energy Transitions Initiative, a joint effort between the Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM) and the International Energy Agency (IEA) to advance gender equality in clean energy globally.
In 2024, we joined the Shared Value Project, the peak body encouraging and enabling the adoption of shared value in Australia.
From 2019- 2025, we were an active member of The Ethics Alliance – a community of organisations with a commitment to lead, inspire and shape a better way of working and a better future.
In 2021, we entered a Collaboration Partnership with Thriving Communities Australia to deliver better customer outcomes, including through increased awareness of customer vulnerability and by showcasing outcomes for customers in vulnerable circumstances.
In 2021, we signed a WE Collaborate MoU to deliver better outcomes to our customers through collaboration and organisational efficiencies and increasing trust. Our collaboration includes the First Nations Better Practice Engagement Community of Practice.
